The Birrarung (Yarra River) is adjacent, and the Collingwood Children's Farm is nearby. In 2006, the St Mary's building was renovated to house Classes 1–6 and the grounds were enhanced with play areas and refurbished tennis courts. In 2012, science laboratories were added in the Mercator Annex. The campus sits in a heritage setting within the Abbotsford Convent, supporting a distinctive urban learning environment.
Refurbished tennis courts are part of the grounds. There are play areas on the grounds to support active recreation. The Outdoor Education program takes students to various locations for camps and journey-based expeditions. The primary base camps cover varied environments including coastal, bushland, arid/desert, forests, rivers and lakes. Secondary camps involve activities such as hiking, paddling, canoeing, rafting, and mountain biking.
St Mary's building houses Classes 1–6 following renovations in 2006. Science laboratories were added in the Mercator Annex in 2012. The Abbotsford Convent heritage precinct provides the school's campus setting. The curriculum combines Steiner education with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The Arts Precinct provides spaces for Visual Arts, Drama and Music, including collaborations with artists-in-residence and nearby Cone 11 pottery studio.
Outdoor Education program takes students from Class 3 upwards to camps across varied environments, including coastal, bushland, arid/desert, forests, rivers and lakes, with major expeditions in the senior years. The program emphasizes connection to place, stewardship of the natural environment, and develops life skills through activities such as hiking, paddling and cycling. The Class 10 exchange program involves living with a host family in France or Switzerland during a term. Music is a core part of the curriculum with Instrumental, Ensemble and Classroom Music; all students from Class 3 to Class 10 receive instrumental lessons and weekly ensemble rehearsals. In Secondary, students study a range of instruments including violin, viola, cello, guitar, bass guitar, piano, percussion, drum kit, voice and flute, and undertake IB Music portfolios. The Arts program integrates Visual Arts, Drama and Music, with artist-in-residence collaborations and access to a nearby pottery studio.
