The school teaches French as a second language throughout the school. French lessons are weekly from Prep to Year 6, and in the Primary School French is taught with the AIM (Accelerated Integrative Method). An exchange program in Year 10 offers opportunities to study at sister schools in France or Switzerland. Spanish is offered as a second language option in Years 10–12.
Sophia Mundi Steiner School is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational Steiner school in Melbourne, Australia, and a member of Steiner Education Australia and an IB World School. It blends Rudolf Steiner's Waldorf curriculum with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 11–12, while Prep to Year 10 follow Steiner principles through story, art, music, nature science and practical activity to awaken imagination and develop the whole person.
