St Andrew's Cathedral School sits in a central urban location, with two city high-rise buildings that house modern, light-filled classrooms and flexible learning spaces. St Andrew's Cathedral is adjacent to the School, and the historic Chapter House next door provides space for assemblies, chapel and performing arts. The School features performance and design spaces with state-of-the-art technology, a Library system across multiple sites, and Kirrikee Outdoor Education Centre for learning beyond the classroom. The facilities include a rooftop social space, the Community Hub and a range of spaces to support learning, collaboration and creativity. The architecture emphasizes visible learning with glass walls and adaptable furniture.
St Andrew's Cathedral School Sports Centre is on-site with a modern gym, Iron Edge cages and weights, plus rowing, treadmill and ski-erg machines. A 17-bike spin room supports sessions before and after school with Strength and Conditioning coaches. The indoor gymnasium has a basketball court and a rooftop playground with a basketball court and cricket nets. City venues supplement on-campus facilities, including St Andrew's College Oval at the University of Sydney for rugby and cricket, Wentworth Park, Centennial Parklands Sports Centre and Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre for football and athletics. Swimming and water polo use Drummoyne, Cook and Phillip Swimming Pool, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre, with additional access to Sydney University Sport and Aquatic Centre for volleyball, basketball, squash and netball.
The TAS Design Centre is located in the Bishop Barry Centre and houses Design and Technology, Timber Technologies, Engineering Studies and Computing. The Design Centre foyer showcases student works and hosts an annual major project exhibition. The Design Centre contains two computer labs with SolidWorks, the Adobe Creative Suite and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and Unity, plus 3D printers, a Vacuum Former, a Laser Cutter and a 4-axis CNC Router. There are two traditional workshops for timber technologies and making. The Visual Arts spaces have been renovated and enlarged with good natural lighting and a display space for exhibitions, and the Library supports Junior, Middle and Senior sections with three library spaces (Junior, Middle and Senior) and a Senior Research Centre.
The Performing Arts spaces include the Music Department with Fairfax Music Room, professional internal venues and external stages; the BBC Auditorium, Black Box Theatre and Dance Studio support a wide range of performances. Choristers and other creative arts programs form part of the school's broader arts offering. School productions are staged in Parade Theatre at NIDA, with performances also held at City Recital Hall and the Concourse Theatre, and Town Hall hosts annual showcases. MakerSpace operates as an after-school program, enabling students to design and build projects. Clubs around the libraries include Junior/Middle/Senior book clubs, Knitting Club, Eco Club, Robotics Club and Girls In Tech. Kirrikee Outdoor Education Centre in the Southern Highlands runs activities such as abseiling, high ropes, bushwalking, mountain biking, rogaining, orienteering, billy carts, log rolling, canoeing, initiative games and table tennis.
St Andrew's Cathedral School is an independent Anglican co-educational day school in Sydney's CBD. It delivers the NSW curriculum for Years 7–10 through the NSW Education Standards Authority, with the IB Middle Years Programme layered over these guidelines. Core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, History and Social Science, Technology and Applied Studies, Languages Other Than English, Creative Arts and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. A School Mandated Compulsory Course is Christian Development. In Years 11–12 students can study either the Higher School Certificate or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, with a track record of strong results in both credentials. The two high-rise CBD campuses adjacent to St Andrew's Cathedral use the Chapter House for assemblies and performing arts.
