The school community thrives on collaboration, where students, staff, and families work together, fostering growth through shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and mutual respect. The St John's Foundation is central to the community, with a dedicated board comprising current and past parents and alumni focused on raising funds to enhance and develop the College's facilities. The Foundation has funded landmark projects including a 700-seat Performing Arts Centre Auditorium Stage One (2012), the Redevelopment of the St John's Sports Centre (2020), and the construction and refurbishment of Junior School classrooms (2022), plus a Community Deck on the Junior School (2023). Donors and community members are encouraged to support the Foundation's Building Fund to benefit students across learning spaces and activities.
The Parents & Friends (P&F) Association is a volunteer-driven group that brings together families, staff, and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience of our students. It fosters community building by hosting events and activities, fundraising for projects and resources, and providing a platform for parents and caregivers to share ideas and feedback, ensuring open communication between families and the school. New members are welcome, and involvement is valued whether you can spare a little time or a lot. The P&F is supported by three sub-committees: Supporters of Sport (SOS), Friends of the Arts (FOTA), and Friends of the School (FOS). For inquiries, contact pfPres@sjac.qld.edu.au.
