Billing schedule and payment terms
- Tuition and boarding statements for ELC–Year 11 are issued four times per year (one per school term). Year 12 is billed in three instalments. Other incidental charges are billed each term with a final invoice issued in December.
- Regular payment is made in advance via monthly direct debit from a bank account or by credit card, charged monthly across ten payments (February through November). Alternate payment arrangements may be made only with the Chief Financial Officer.
- At least one full term's written notice of intended withdrawal is required. Where such notice is not provided, a full term's fees will be payable as Fees in Lieu of Notice (FLON). Changing from boarding to day status also requires the same notice period.
- An administration fee may be charged on outstanding amounts from the due date unless paying under the direct debit plan. Legal recovery costs for overdue accounts will be added to the outstanding amount where legal proceedings are necessary. Students with unpaid fees may be ineligible to return to school at the start of the next term unless satisfactory written payment arrangements are in place.
Other costs and optional charges
- Enrichment, cocurricular and private tuition: Tara Enrichment Centre activities, private music tuition and additional sport/co‑curricular programs are optional and charged separately; fees for these activities are published for the Enrichment Centre each year.
- Incidental and subject levies: Excursions, IGSA/ISPHA sport participation, specific subject costs (e.g., Food Technology, Design & Technology, Art), extra subjects, Year 11/12 special sport/recreation charges, technology levies for laptop/IT programs, school planner, locker security, library printing and photocopying charges are additional to tuition and will be itemised on school accounts.
- School bus services: AUD 165 per term (one way) or AUD 330 per term (both ways).
- Building Fund donation (voluntary suggested minimum): AUD 700 per student per annum (suggested). Donations to the Building Fund are tax deductible where eligible and receipts are issued for donations.
- Uniform purchases are made through the School's Uniform Shop and are not charged to tuition accounts.
Refunds and non‑refundable items
- The application fee (AUD 220) and the enrolment acceptance fee (AUD 3,000 or AUD 2,000 for sister enrolments) are non‑refundable.
- Failure to provide the required written notice of withdrawal will incur a full term's fees as Fees in Lieu of Notice. Other specific refunds or credits (for example, in cases where alternate arrangements are agreed) are governed by standard School financial procedures and any agreed written arrangements with the Chief Financial Officer. Administrative and recovery charges may apply to overdue accounts.
Payment methods and options
- Standard payment methods: monthly direct debit from a bank account or credit card charge (payments processed monthly, February–November). Alternate arrangements require agreement with the Chief Financial Officer. Statements for fees are issued per the billing schedule and incidental items are charged each term.
Sibling fee discount
- Where two daughters attend concurrently, the eldest is charged full tuition; the second daughter receives a 10% discount on tuition and the third (and subsequent) daughters receive a 20% discount on tuition. This sibling discount applies to tuition fees.
If you require these fee figures presented in a different format for your database, the figures above cover application and enrolment fees, annual tuition, per‑term statement instalments, monthly direct‑debit amounts, boarding fees (annual, per‑term and monthly), billing schedule, payment terms, optional charges, refund rules for the listed non‑refundable items, and payment methods as stated.
