Fifty Wenona boarders from Years 7 to 12 live in the Boarding House, housed in refurbished heritage accommodation in the heart of the School. Boarders are supported academically, socially and emotionally by dedicated staff, with an Evening Study Centre and a prep supervisor. Public transport, shops and parks are within reach in Sydney; boarding scholarships may provide full or partial remission of boarding fees.
School uniforms can be purchased from the Uniform Shop on campus or from Noone; online ordering is available. On-campus trading hours are Monday and Wednesday 1pm–4pm, and Friday 8am–4:30pm; Noone Chatswood offers Wenona uniforms during holidays; second-hand uniforms can be sold at the Uniform Shop; items include Dress, Navy Blazer, Navy Jumper, PE Uniform, House T‑Shirt, Swim gear and accessories, and house badges with Nametapes available through the shop.
Garden Café is a student‑designed on‑campus eatery offering a wide range of fresh food and drinks. The Flexischools online facility allows lunches to be pre‑ordered and paid either for the day (orders due by 9:30am) or up to one week in advance, with a 25‑cent order fee. The school operates a house system. In the Junior School, Woodstock runs Kindergarten to Year 3 and Hooke House runs Years 4 to 6. Across the School there are eight Houses: Allard, Hooke, Hadley, Jackson, Messiter, Palmer, Ralston and School House, which participate in inter‑house activities such as the annual House Drama Competition.
Wenona is owned and operated by Wenona School Limited, a company limited by guarantee. A Board of Governors governs the School.
Wenona is a day and boarding school for girls in Australia dating to 1886. The school uses a dual curriculum, combining NSW curriculum with PYP for Kindergarten to Year 6. The Junior School operates on two campuses: Woodstock (Kindergarten to Year 3) and Hooke House (Years 4 to 6). In Year 5, Renaissance Studies begins, and Educational Support Services provide learning support, English language support and gifted and talented extension. Wenona is an IB World School authorised to offer PYP. In Year 10, students complete the Stage 5 NSW curriculum; from Years 11–12, the HSC is studied with English compulsory and languages including French, Mandarin, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese, plus electives. Facilities include Athenaeum, a 300-seat Independent Theatre, Barbara Jackson Library, science labs, art spaces and a 25-m pool used by Wenona Swim Club. The campus supports Performing Arts, STEM and languages, and offers overseas study opportunities after Year 10.
