Wesley College opened on 11 January 1866 at the St Kilda Road Campus with a single student, Freddie Binks. Today it is a leading coeducational, multi-campus school with a student population of more than 3,300. Wesley has a history of more than 150 years and celebrates open entry, religious tolerance and cultural diversity. The College operates across three Melbourne metropolitan campuses: Elsternwick, Glen Waverley and St Kilda Road.
Wesley is more than a school, it's a community. Wesley parents and guardians are vital to the community, diverse, welcoming and supportive, and there are programs and groups connecting families from orientation through graduation. The Wesley Parents' Association is an active campus-based group with various activities and events that provide social interaction and fundraising opportunities, and there are avenues for volunteering, including helping at the Second-hand Uniform Store. WiSE, School TV and the Parent Intranet support communication and engagement, and the Albert Park Hockey and Tennis Centre provides recreational facilities for families across the three campuses.
The Wesley Parents' Association is an active and dynamic part of each campus, and parents and guardians are automatically members. As a parent volunteer group, it aims to create a positive, inclusive, and thriving College community across all year levels. A variety of activities and events are held throughout the year that provide social interaction and fundraising for the College. Parents can participate by sharing ideas, volunteering, helping at the Wesley parents' Second-hand Uniform Store, or providing feedback. Our campus-based associations include Wesley Parents Elsternwick, Wesley Parents Glen Waverley and Wesley Parents Association St Kilda Road. WiSE, School TV and the Parent Intranet aid engagement and information sharing.
