Academic and Intellectual

Natural sciences, innovative research and Design & Technology are promoted at COLE Primary and Secondary levels, with age-appropriate emphasis on English and, depending on age, on business and political studies. English is a core language of instruction. Language development and academic thinking are emphasised as part of the learning approach. The school highlights a broad curriculum including arts, mathematics, music and the sciences.

Arts and Creative

Arts feature in the learning approach, alongside languages, mathematics, music and sciences. The COLE Holiday Programmes include arts & crafts. SUMEX offers arts & crafts and English-language activities during school breaks.

Cultural and Language

English and German language learning are part of the program. The environment is non-confessional. COLE welcomes children of all nationalities and languages; acceptance is regardless of nationality, language or religion.

Social and Hobbies

Outdoor activities, events and outings are part of the program. After School Care runs from 12:30 to 16:00. Vegetarian lunches are included in ASC. Outings, skiing and swimming courses are part of the programme.

COLE International Schools in Innsbruck offers a bilingual English and German early years pathway and a bilingual Primary School for children aged 6 to 10. The Pre-School operates in English with German speaking assistants and follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage for younger children, while the Primary delivers parallel instruction in German and English under the supervision of qualified teachers from Britain and Austria. The bespoke curriculum blends Austrian and British frameworks with a science emphasis, and ICT is integrated across learning. The school is private and non-denominational, housed in a family home with a dedicated Pre-School garden. COLE prioritises holistic development, intercultural awareness and language acquisition, and maintains partnerships with Brighton College to uphold standards. Extracurriculars include holiday programmes, science and technology projects, arts and crafts and a range of outdoor activities. The campus is preparing to extend to a High School, offering welcoming atmosphere for international families.
