As of 2023, the school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and is a COBIS Accredited Member, affirming its status as an IB World School. The main language of instruction is English, the core curriculum and all specialist subjects are taught in English, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is provided. A wide range of world languages is offered, including Russian, Italian, German, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
Art from Waste demonstrates student creativity by transforming everyday waste into art. World Music performances and Mother Tongue celebrations provide avenues for artistic expression and intercultural exchange. The school also supports a broad Activities & Clubs program across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary levels, which offers creative outlets based on student choice.

Service As Action is an integral part of the MYP programme, encouraging students to apply what they learn beyond the classroom walls. Through Service Learning, students undertake projects that raise awareness of social issues such as disability, autism, discrimination, human rights, and bullying. Students have organized charitable activities, including donations and events for reintegration centers and other community partners, to foster environmental care, social responsibility, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
The Leadership Team includes the CEO & Director, ELC Principal, PYP Principal, MYP Principal, and DP-CP Principal. International Baccalaureate (IB) professional development workshops are offered to educators and school leaders to strengthen IB practice and school leadership. The school emphasizes ongoing professional development and aims to uphold IB standards across all programmes.
Student wellbeing is central to learning, guided by the IB philosophy to support emotional, social, and psychological development. The school provides full-time counselors/psychologists who support emotional well-being, relationships, academic motivation, and transitions. Wellbeing sessions include Social-Emotional Learning, mindfulness, art therapy, bullying-awareness initiatives, Mental Health Day, Random Acts of Kindness, and inclusive practices. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility with a Safeguarding Committee and annual safeguarding training for all staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
European Azerbaijan School is a private international day school in Azerbaijan delivering the International Baccalaureate across four IB divisions: ELC, PYP, MYP and DP/CP. It educates ages 3–17 with English as the language of instruction; Azerbaijani is taught in some language subjects and Russian, German, Spanish and French are offered. The DP is a two-year program with six subjects (three HL, three SL) plus the Core (TOK, CAS and Extended Essay). The CP supports progression to higher education, apprenticeships or employment, with university guidance. EAS is an IB World School for PYP (2017), MYP (2021) and DP (2015) and the only Azerbaijani IB school accredited for CP; CIS accreditation (2023) and COBIS member. The campuses are Yasamal (EY and Primary) and Badamdar (Middle, DP, CP), with specialist classrooms, labs, libraries, auditoria, music and art spaces, a 25m pool and an IB Study Centre.
