Lucaya International School was founded in 1997 on Grand Bahama Island to serve the local and international community in Freeport. It has grown to become the only IB-authorised school on the island.

Lucaya International School (LIS) is an independent, non-denominational day school in Freeport, Grand Bahama, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Year 13 (ages 3 to 18). The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme, along with Cambridge IGCSE courses. Located on a 10-acre purpose-built, gated campus, LIS welcomes students from over 30 nationalities with a 1:7 teacher-to-student ratio and a maximum of 20 students per class. The school boasts a 100% high school graduation rate and 100% university acceptance for its graduates.
