Al Rawabi is bilingual with English as the language of instruction for high school core subjects. Arabic is taught as a national subject and appears in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as Arabic A Language & Literature (HL/SL) and Arabic B (HL/SL). In the IB Diploma Programme, English A Language & Literature (HL/SL) and English B (HL/SL) are also offered. Since the 2017/18 school year, IB candidates may choose between a full IB Diploma and IB Certificates.
The school is a national bilingual private school under the Ministry of Education in Bahrain. It serves Bahraini and expatriate communities and operates across two campuses. Since 2014, Al Rawabi has been an authorized IB World School and is an approved Cambridge and Edexcel examination centre, and it is UNESCO-affiliated. The high school offers a standard American high school diploma and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, with core subjects taught in English and national subjects including Arabic, Social Studies, and Religion & Citizenship.
