Billing schedule and payment terms
- On first joining: parents must pay the admission fee (non-refundable), the tuition fee and the caution deposit (refundable) in advance prior to the student attending.
- Invoicing and payment method: tuition and transport fees are invoiced and paid via BEFTN or by direct bank deposit. Parents who pay via BEFTN must send the payment receipt to finance.dhaka@agakhanacademies.org each time to ensure the payment is credited.
- Late payment: fees not paid by the due date attract a late‑payment penalty of 2% per month on the outstanding balance, charged at the end of the month. The school will send two reminders; continued non‑payment will lead to progressive actions (removal from ManageBac, suspension from attendance, then de‑enrolment).
- Transport: school bus transport fees are charged where applicable; bus cancellations require two months' notice or two months' transport fees will be deducted from the deposit. Field trips and off‑campus activities not part of the compulsory curriculum are charged when they occur. Exam fees for MYP and DP are billed separately based on actual IB charges and related expenses.
Boarding / residential fees
- Residential facilities are not available for the stated fee schedule year; no boarding fees apply for that period.
Other costs and incidental charges
- Exam fees (MYP and DP): charged separately at actual IB/examination cost.
- Field trips and other off‑campus educational experiences: charged separately as they are conducted.
- Transport (school bus) charges: applicable to eligible students; cancellation and deduction rules apply as noted above.
- Uniforms, textbooks, personal stationery and other sundry items: not itemised in the published fee schedule; parents should allow for separate charges for these items as required by the school.
Refund and withdrawal rules
- Refund on de‑enrolment or expulsion: no fees are refunded except for the refundable caution (security) deposit.
- Claims for refund of the caution deposit must be made in writing within one year of the date of leaving.
- Withdrawal notice and charges: written notice for withdrawal at the beginning of the next academic year must be sent by 3 March of the current academic year. If notice is received after 31 March, the full first‑term fee for the next academic year must be paid. For mid‑year withdrawals, 90 days' written notice prior to the start of the next term is required. If insufficient notice is given, the following charges apply:
- 60–89 days before the start of the next term: 25% of the next term's fees.
- 30–59 days before the start of the next term: 50% of the next term's fees.
- Less than 30 days before the start of the next term: 75% of the next term's fees.
- No refund on the next term's fee after the start of the term.
Fee payment options and practical notes
- Accepted payment methods listed: BEFTN (electronic funds transfer) and direct bank deposit. Parents must email BEFTN payment receipts to finance.dhaka@agakhanacademies.org so payments can be correctly credited. No credit‑card payment option is specified in the published fee schedule.
- The school reserves the right to withhold certificates, transcripts and other documents if fees or other dues remain outstanding. The board retains the right to change rules and fees as required.

Aga Khan School, Dhaka is a long-standing international school in Bangladesh, part of the Aga Khan Schools network of more than 200 campuses worldwide. The school offers a blended curriculum drawing on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for younger students and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for older students, in addition to Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels for senior study. In the Junior section, learning follows the PYP framework, while the Senior section provides CIE and IB qualifications, supported by Cambridge A Levels options. Since its founding in 1988 with 25 students and seven teachers, the school has grown to about 1,200 students and around 200 teachers and staff.
