Aurora International School is in Gulshan, Dhaka, offering Early Years through Class XII within a purposefully designed campus. The Early Years spaces include a learning area with activity centers such as dramatic play, a reading corner, puzzles, blocks, manipulatives, sensory/discovery materials and arts resources. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms feature a classroom library, abundant resources, age-appropriate technology and furniture designed to support collaborative, inquiry-based learning, with air-conditioning for comfort. Elementary classrooms include libraries, ample storage and age-appropriate resources to support learning, with spaces designed to encourage interaction and hands-on exploration. The campus also houses a library and a multipurpose room for on-site activities, and safety policies govern the campus; swimming is provided through an external facility for the swimming program.
Daily physical activity is integrated into the program for Early Years and Elementary students through on-campus indoor and outdoor facilities. A variety of equipment and play items support the physical development of children of all ages within the on-campus spaces, including play areas and a multipurpose room. The school also has an arrangement with an external facility to provide access to a swimming pool for the swimming program. Indoor and outdoor facilities are used to support regular physical education and recreational activities. The spaces are designed to promote active, structured movement as part of the school day.
The Aurora program is an IB Primary Years Programme school, with a curriculum based on inquiry-driven learning and a global perspective. Technology is integrated across operations and classrooms, with smartboards from age 4 and, from Elementary onward, tablets or laptops for individual use; middle school guidelines address shared devices. The library provides a wide range of resources for Units of Inquiry, with additional copies in classrooms for Early Years and Elementary. All classrooms are air-conditioned and furnished with age-appropriate furniture and built-in storage to support organization and access to materials. Aurora offers a diverse array of after-school clubs exclusively for Elementary and Middle School students, with participation in at least one club required each term. After-school programs are open to Aurora students and the general public for an extra charge and are delivered by Aurora faculty or externally recruited instructors.
