The school organises a wide range of activities and excursions beyond the classroom to support and add to the academic curriculum. These include visits to companies and industrial installations, trips to cultural and historical sites, and museum visits to FoMu, MAS, MuKHA, the Red Star Line Museum and KMSKA. Science and humanities trips cover locations such as Antwerp Central Train Station, Antwerp Eco House, Antwerp Fire Department, Antwerp Zoo, Aquatopia, Breendonk Concentration Camp, Flanders Fields, Mechelen Toy Museum, Museum of Natural Sciences, Peerdsbos and Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe. Residential trips and ski trips are organised, and students may participate in competitions such as the BBC Speaking Awards to develop communication and collaboration skills.
Art, drama, music and sports form part of the wider curriculum, with a range of after‑school arts activities. Art projects use a variety of media and techniques and culminate in an annual end‑of‑year art exhibition. The School Band welcomes musicians and singers to join for shared musical experiences, and Dance classes develop coordination, technique and performance skills. These creative activities enrich students' learning and personal growth.
Cultural Day invites older students to explore Belgian cities to discover culture, architecture and art. Museums are regularly visited, including FoMu, MAS, MuKHA, the Red Star Line Museum and KMSKA. The International Summer Fair celebrates the school's cultural diversity, showcasing a range of cultures to the whole school community.
After School Activities include supervised after‑school care, a variety of sports (football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, badminton, cricket, softball, etc.), Art, School Band and Dance, as well as Debate and Public Speaking. These activities promote social interaction, teamwork and personal interests beyond the classroom.
The International Summer Fair is a yearly community celebration of cultural diversity. The Da Vinci PTA enriches the school experience through events and fundraising to supplement learning and foster community spirit, with activities such as hot lunches, bingo nights, social evenings, Halloween, film evenings, dances and the Summer Fair.
Sports, dance and music through After School Activities provide physical and creative outlets that support well‑being. Supervised After‑School Care offers structured activities for younger children, and the a range of sports and arts activities supports a balanced, active lifestyle for students.
Da Vinci International School Antwerp is a boutique international school founded in 1997, now part of Chatsworth Schools group. It serves students from age 2 to 18 in an IB Continuum, with the Primary Years Programme for ages 3–11, the Middle Years Programme for grades 6–10, and the Diploma Programme for grades 11–12. The school prioritizes small class sizes and a nurturing community where every student is a valued member of the Da Vinci family. The curriculum emphasizes language development with Dutch and French offered in the MYP and international focus across disciplines. Students engage in structured inquiry through the PYP's six thematic units, and in the MYP they prepare for the DP with study-skills and careers programmes.
