For children aged 6 to 12, there is a five-day boarding trip with their teachers each year. As part of excursions, 3- to 6-year-olds may make Belgium-based excursions once or twice a year, while 6- to 12-year-olds go on day trips three to four times a year and participate in a week-long boarding stay in Belgium (in the countryside, Ardennes, or on the coast). This boarding stay is supervised by French-speaking and English-speaking teachers, as well as facilitators; it is not compulsory but strongly recommended, and costs are not included in the school fees.
Meals: children bring their own meals and snacks; a fruit may be brought for the morning; if staying all day, provide a meal to place in the classroom refrigerator and labeled with the child's first name; for daycare, a snack is provided and mineral water is available throughout the day.
Founded in 1999 by Laurence Randoux and Marc Ciepers (deceased); the school now has about one hundred children aged 18 months to 12 years across four classes; Laurence Randoux is the founder and director.
Montessori Kids Lasne is a Montessori school serving ages 18 months to 12 years. The campus is organized around the Montessori prepared environment, designed to support concentration, self-construction and respect for others. The program emphasizes life skills, self-esteem and cooperative learning through sensitive periods and an integrated, cosmopolitan approach. Children progress through four age groups: 18 months to 3 years, 3 to 6 years (the Children's House), 6 to 9 years and 9 to 12 years. For the 3-6 year group, the core work areas are Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics and Language, complemented by Rhythmic education taught in French. The school offers a broad activity program, including swimming, sports education, plastic arts and theatre with a psychomotor focus. In primary, a five-day boarding trip is organized and excursions are planned within nearby zones, supervised by bilingual staff. Founded in 1999 by Laurence Randoux and Marc Ciepers, it serves 100 children.
