Montgomery International School is a fully accredited IB school serving students aged 5 to 19. The IB curriculum emphasises academic rigour and personal development. The Diploma Programme develops skills in research, communication, self-management, and critical thinking. The school offers two tracks: an English-language programme with French as a second language and an advanced bilingual programme with English–French immersion.
The theatre/media class is a core part of the curriculum. Theatre is taught for two hours per week. End-of-year performances take place in a Brussels theatre, giving students a platform to showcase their work. Students create decors and costumes, reinterpret original plays or develop original scripts; past productions include A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, The Lion King and The Jungle Book.
Montgomery offers two tracks: an English-language programme and an Advanced Bilingual track. In the English track all subjects are taught in English with French as a second language, while the bilingual track provides immersive instruction in both French and English. In the PYP instruction is split 50% French and 50% English; in the MYP it is about 70% English and 30% French; in the DP a second language is studied as Language and Literature with another subject taught in the same language (for example History in French). The bilingual programme is designed to develop academic competency in both languages, even if students are not initially fluent.
Extracurricular activities include Art Club, Coding School in collaboration with Logiscool, and Dance. French Club and Italian lessons are offered as part of after-school programs. Piano and guitar lessons are available, taught by qualified instructors. Tennis lessons are offered in collaboration with a local club Set Wahis. Library Book Club operates for primary students, and Team Sport is organized after school, including basketball, soccer, handball and volleyball.
Service Learning is a core value at Montgomery International School and is integrated in both PYP and MYP. In PYP, four-week projects cover topics from environmental initiatives to arts and community outreach, including Eco Warriors, Sunshine Squad, Culinary Club and Winter Singers. In MYP, students undertake self-initiated and class-based activities linked to the curriculum, developing caring and responsible citizenship. DP students participate in CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) and collaborate with local organizations such as Serve the City to address local and global issues.
University Counseling introduces students in MYP5 to ensure that their university choices align with their course selections. A yearly programme includes presentations by university representatives and opportunities to visit international higher education fairs and attend campus visits. There is additional support in DP1 and DP2 during the university application process, offered in individual meetings with a counselor and in small group sessions.
Dance classes focus on technique and body alignment, improvisation and choreography, with projects that are typically presented during school shows. Team Sport is organized by a school coach and includes activities such as basketball, soccer, handball and volleyball. Extended Day provides after-school options including Homework Club for PYP 1-5 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, Garderie from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, and After School Support for secondary students from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. Italian language lessons are also offered free of charge to families by permanent teachers from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In 2022 MIS achieved the best IBDP score in Brussels, outperforming the global average by five points. The campus features a science lab, a 3D printer, a bilingual library and dedicated spaces for theatre, research and study; DP students access the Brussels University library (ULB). External facilities support PE and sports at nearby venues, and theatre performances occur in professional Brussels houses. MIS joined the Ermitage Educational Group in 2023, reinforcing its international network and signature service-learning and university-counselling programs.
