1. Vacancies and selection: Vacancies for new students are filled on a classificatory basis, and admission is determined by the candidate's performance relative to the number of available places. 2. Scholarship applications: To request a scholarship, the responsible party must complete a specific form and provide documents including a copy of the last income tax return (with receipt), proofs of family income, proof of residence, and utility bills, along with any other documents requested by the financial department. 3. Scholarship terms: Scholarships are granted according to the indices of the respective scholarship programs and in accordance with applicable laws, excluding costs for teaching materials, uniforms, meals and other fees. 4. Scholarship validity and enrollment: The scholarship takes effect in January of the year and applies to the monthly tuition for the current academic year; the scholarship does not automatically guarantee enrollment, which must be completed according to the school's enrollment calendar; the scholarship offer is valid for up to five business days from formal notification. 5. Criteria for scholarships: The total scholarship is the sum of A, B and C. A relates to the relationship with Colégio Soka do Brasil (loyalty), B to academic performance, and C to a socioeconomic analysis. Internal candidates may be evaluated via internal criteria, while external candidates may choose an external selection process (including a dissertative exam and an English interview). The benefits from internal and external processes are not cumulative. The school may suspend or limit the use of the socioeconomic criterion due to budgetary constraints. 6. Registration and process: Registration for the selection process occurs online within defined windows; details include documentary requirements, a presentation letter, and, for Homestay applicants, additional procedures if residing outside São Paulo. 7. Renewal and cancellation: Scholarships are typically valid for one academic year and renewal depends on the student's performance, with renewal contingent on maintaining minimum averages and fulfilling financial and behavioral obligations; renewal requires a formal request to the Finance Department; scholarships can be canceled for reasons including withdrawal, non-payment, failure, or other specified conditions. 8. Additional notes: If a student is admitted via external selection, the school may require additional steps or documents as part of the enrollment process and budget considerations.
The Colégio Soka do Brasil offers scholarships for new students entering the high school program through a selective process. Applications require a specific scholarship form and supporting documents, including the last personal income tax return, proofs of family income, proof of residence, and utility bills. Scholarships are determined by three criteria: A) relationship with the school (loyalty, measured by the time the student has been at Colégio Soka), B) academic performance (based on the student's record starting from the 6th year and notes from the class council and pedagogy), and C) socioeconomic analysis (optional for families, and potentially limited by budget). The total scholarship equals the sum of A, B and C and is applied to monthly tuition; the school may exclude certain costs from the scholarship (e.g., materials, uniforms, meals). Scholarships can be awarded through internal criteria or an external process; the external process involves a dissertative examination and an English interview, and benefits from each process are not cumulative. Scholarships begin in January and require enrollment following the school's enrollment calendar; renewal is evaluated annually and may require meeting minimum academic criteria and adhering to financial obligations. The school may suspend or limit the socioeconomic criterion and may cancel scholarships for various reasons, including changes in budget or student performance.
