The Complementary Education Program develops students' multiple talents and prepares them to chart their own path with competence and confidence. All courses aim to awaken and develop essential skills for the modern world, presenting content and proposals that go beyond the regular curriculum. All activities are certified by the College or by partner universities and address competencies such as public speaking (including in other languages), teamwork, development of physical capacities, creative problem solving, mobilization of interdisciplinary content, and the creation of personal and collective projects. By the end of schooling at the College, each student will have built a rich history of complementary education.
Arts, Music, Theater and Gastronomy are offered as extracurricular courses in the Culture area. The courses complement regular classes by giving students opportunities to develop skills in visual arts, performing arts, music, and gastronomy, and to explore their creative talents while being valued for their individuality. Classes emphasize collaboration, and are predominantly practical, fostering exchange of experiences and the formation of new friendships in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Languages: Learning languages broadens understanding of others, exposes students to new ideas, and improves social communication and opportunities for sharing and cooperation. Our goal is to form individuals committed to global issues, who value respect for diversity and engage in dialogue based on active listening and well‑founded positions.
Interdisciplinary entrepreneurial projects are a distinguishing feature of the program, combining multiple disciplines and fostering collaboration and leadership among students.
Sports are part of daily life at Porto Seguro, with diverse physical-activity options that emphasize formative development and promote a healthier lifestyle, as well as opportunities for discovery, exchange, challenges and overcoming.
