Dual International School originated in 2009 in Joinville to meet the demand of local families for high-standard education with an international level. The project was very successful in Joinville, and in 2014 the Florianópolis campus began operations to meet the community's desire for an excellent school. In 2016, operations began in Blumenau with the same objective. The school is the only IB World School in Florianópolis and Blumenau. It is part of the Bahema group, which has more than sixty years in the market and is building a Brazilian education group.
Arraia Florianópolis 2024 is a cultural celebration that fosters interaction between the school and the community. It featured performances and activities such as Pau de Fita, Quadrilha, Roda de Capoeira, Coral, Show de Talentos, Jogos Inteligentes, Bandas, Futsal Recreativo, Lançamento de Foguetes, and a community lunch. Dia da Família Florianópolis 2024 is a community event promoting family interaction with educators, offering activities including Ateliê de Artes, Oficina de Marcadores de Página, Roda de Capoeira, Coral, Show de Talentos, Jogos Inteligentes, Bandas, Futsal Recreativo, Exposição Robomind, Oficina de Teatro, Karaokê, Hatha Yoga, Jogos de Tabuleiro, and Oficina de Foguetes.
Dual International School Blumenau is an IB World School offering bilingual immersion and full-day education for students aged 3 to 18. The school delivers a triple diploma—Brazilian, American and IB—preparing graduates for universities abroad. Located in Blumenau, it is part of the Bahema group and joined a network that began in Joinville in 2009 and expanded to Florianópolis in 2014 before Blumenau opened in 2016. The campus is the only IB World School serving Florianópolis and Blumenau. The curriculum combines IB programs (PYP and DP) with an English–Portuguese immersion approach and American curriculum elements, supported by a full-time schedule from early years through high school. After school, students may join a range of activities from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The school emphasizes participation in international programs such as Onto the World and competes in science, math, chess and athletic events, while guiding enrollment in ENEM, SAT and IB coursework successfully.
