Dual International School originated in 2009 in Joinville to meet the region's demand for high-standard, internationally oriented education. The project was very successful in Joinville, and in 2014 the Florianópolis campus began operations to meet the community's desire for an excellent school. In 2016, the Blumenau campus began activities with the same objective. We are the only IB World School in Florianópolis and Blumenau, and we are part of the Bahema group. Bahema Investments has more than 60 years in the market with a track record of success across sectors and is building a Brazilian education group, believing that institutions that foster critical thinking and global engagement will be increasingly relevant.
We understand that family involvement with the school is fundamental for a more humane and complete education for our children and adolescents. Our calendar of events is designed to generate interaction, bringing content and fun to our entire community. Family Day brings generations together for activities for parents and children to do together, with challenges and lots of fun. Arraiá Dual International School celebrates Brazilian culture, reviving traditions and offering much family fun. Fine Arts, Science Fair, and a Cultural Show provide opportunities for students to share their work.
Dual International School Florianópolis is an IB World School offering an integrated program from infancy through high school (Infantil, Fundamental I, Fundamental II, and Ensino Médio). Instruction is in English and Portuguese, with Spanish integrated from Grade 6, supporting bilingual development and cross-cultural communication. The curriculum aligns with IB standards and leads to national and international qualifications, including ENEM, vestibulares, SAT, and the IB Diploma. The school also provides an American high school diploma and a Brazilian high school diploma, accommodating diverse pathways. As part of the Bahema group, it is the only IB World School in Florianópolis and Blumenau, reinforcing a Brazilian identity within an international framework. The campus emphasizes an international, socio-constructivist pedagogy and aims to prepare students for top universities worldwide. Notable features include the Onto the World travel program and extensive after-school offerings across sports, arts, and languages, fostering global perspectives.
