The school has a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA meetings support collaboration between families and school staff; the 2025 school year concluded with a final PTA meeting. Two partnerships were announced for the July 2025 vacation period tailored for GIS SP students.
The International School of São Paulo (GIS) is part of the GIS Group of International Schools Suisse and is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). It serves ages 2 to 11 and delivers a bilingual, inquiry-based education with English and Portuguese as languages of instruction. In the Early Years, learning follows the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing curiosity, respect for childhood, and the protagonism of children. In the Primary Years, students explore reading, writing, math and science through interdisciplinary projects linked to real-life experiences, with language as the medium for learning. The curriculum fosters autonomy and responsibility while developing a global perspective and critical thinking for engagement beyond the classroom. Authorized for the PYP since 2021, GIS integrates IB principles with a strong emphasis on multilingualism, collaboration, and real-world application. After-school activities are available through Rent a Pro from 16:00 to 16:50, complementing daily learning and wellbeing initiatives.
