Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Commitment, welcoming, ethics, respect, and pioneering spirit underpin Liceu Albert Sabin. Founded in October 1993, the school began on Rua Garibaldi, marking the start of its journey toward high-quality education and a future-oriented mission. The move to Vila do Golf united its campus with its pedagogical proposals. It expanded to include the International Program and joined Brazil's IB-accredited schools, offering the Diploma Programme for high school to earn a Brazilian and international dual diploma. The school and the International Baccalaureate share a holistic approach to education, developing globally minded, critical, proactive, and creative students ready to address real-world problems, with respect for diverse cultures, and prepared for admission to leading universities in Brazil and around the world.

Community

We believe the school community is the ideal environment for developing awareness and the capacity for students to intervene in society through essential acts of solidarity. We pursue meaningful teaching in our pedagogical project to prepare students to fulfill their roles as socially responsible citizens. We carry out projects such as donating books to underserved schools, running a sustainable uniform fair including customization and donation, visiting elderly homes, providing financial and solidarity education, and anti-bullying programs. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.
