School of the Nations is an international, private, not-for-profit, coeducational, dual-language day school serving Nursery through Grade 12. It operates on two Brasília campuses: the Main Campus and the Early Childhood Campus. The school educates over 700 students from more than 25 nationalities. The Main Campus is located at SHIS QI 21, Conjunto C1, Brasília, DF 71655-600, and the Early Childhood Campus is at SMDB Conjunto 19 Lote 2, Brasília, DF 71680-190.
From Nursery through Grade 5, physical education is designed to be fun and develop motor skills; in Middle School, students explore team and individual sports with an emphasis on safe, enjoyable activity. The program uses Cooperative Games to emphasize cooperation over competition. School Teams include Boys and Girls Basketball, Soccer, Futsal, and Volleyball, with training after school beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The Nations provides a complete and integrated education from Nursery through Grade 12. It offers a bilingual academic curriculum complemented by Moral Education, the arts, and sports. The school is accredited internationally by NEASC and nationally by the Brazilian Secretary of Education, and is an authorized IB World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Students may earn up to three diplomas: the Brazilian High School Diploma, the IB Diploma, and the NEASC-accredited High School Diploma.
Diverse learning experiences include Moral Education and Service, College Counseling, Athletics and Sports, and After School programs, all designed to support holistic student development.
