Facilities Overview

The school has spacious classrooms, chemistry, physics and biology laboratories, a computer room, a woodshop, arts and ceramics studios, an experimental kitchen and a forest. It also offers a multimedia library, a sports gym, playgrounds, theatre, a cafeteria, a canteen and a medical clinic.

Sports Facilities

The Sports Gym covers 1,300 m² and enables the practice of various sports. It also has changing rooms and two gymnasia. With the support of the Patron Canton of Basel, a covered lateral grandstand was built, inaugurated in 2006.

Academic Facilities

The school has spacious classrooms, science laboratories for Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and two theory rooms, one of which is equipped with a digital whiteboard and multimedia tools. The computer room is used for curricular classes and is available during the day with the ongoing support of a specialized teacher. The library has about 18,000 titles in Portuguese, German, English, Spanish and French. A woodshop, arts and ceramics studios, and an experimental kitchen, plus a forest area, support practical and creative learning.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Arts and Music are curricular through the end of secondary education. Students participate in activities and projects in music, cooking, theatre, ceramics, drawing and painting, carpentry and photography in various spaces and studios.

Schweizerschule São Paulo is a non-profit bilingual school serving students aged 3 to 18. The curriculum combines the International Baccalaureate program (PYP, MYP, and DP) with the Swiss and Brazilian curricula, enabling a seamless progression between local and international standards. Instruction is delivered in Portuguese and German from early childhood, and language diplomas maintain international benchmarks. The school is affiliated with Switzerland and supported by the Basel Canton and the Department of Education for the State of São Paulo, reflecting formal recognition by the Swiss government since 1967. IB accreditation began in 1996, with first IB Diploma awarded in 1999. Facilities include science laboratories, a woodshop, arts studios, experimental kitchen and forest area, plus a multimedia library, a sports gym, theatres, a cafeteria and a medical clinic.
