HOPE International School was established in 2002 in Phnom Penh to meet the educational needs of missionary and Christian worker families in Cambodia. The school's stated mission is to support world missions by providing Christ-centered educational services and a core international curriculum from preschool through high school. HOPE is governed by a voluntary board made up of one representative from each member mission organization, together with parent- and staff-appointed representatives; the Head of School and Board Secretary serve ex officio. The school presents itself as a non-profit, mission-focused community with operations and policies shaped around its statement of faith.
The school describes an international, faith-based community that participates in regular extracurricular and cultural activities, including a broad clubs program and a visible athletics program known as the HOPE Koupreys. Community-facing programming for parents (Parent University) offers talks and recorded sessions on topics such as digital citizenship and family wellbeing. Parents and volunteers support campus life through roles like classroom helpers, library support, coaching and other regular volunteer positions; the school also publishes a live calendar and parent handbook to coordinate events and services.
HOPE's parent body is represented formally through a Parent Council, which has an elected representative on the school's governing board. The school encourages parent volunteering in specific areas—substitute teaching, coaching, library support and classroom assistance—and provides a Volunteer page with signup information. Parent-focused programming is delivered through the Parent University series, with recorded audio sessions and invited speakers on practical topics for families. The school also shares practical parent resources (a Parent Essentials handout and Parent Handbook) and a live school calendar to coordinate community events and ticketed occasions such as secondary social events (for example, High School Formal and Middle School “fUNformal” are referenced in the school's homeschool-services information). The Parent Council therefore functions as a liaison between families and school leadership, helping to coordinate volunteers and communicate parent needs to the administration and board.
HOPE International School was established in 2002 and follows an English-medium international curriculum from preschool through Grade 12. The campus is located to the north‑west of Phnom Penh, close to the international airport and described on the school website as a purpose-built campus on the edge of the city overlooking rice fields and open spaces. HOPE offers early years provision reporting against the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a primary programme based on the UK national curriculum, IGCSE in Grades 9–10 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11–12. The school notes a student body of about 270 and runs service-learning (Vision in Action / VIA) and IB CAS requirements in its upper years. Detailed tuition and additional fee schedules are published as documents linked from the Admissions / Application & Fees page.
