Boarding Arrangements
Brentwood has eight on-campus boarding houses: Hope, Allard, Mackenzie, Alexandra, Privett, Rogers, Ellis, and Whittall. Each student is assigned a roommate in a dorm, and houseparents with their families live in adjoining suites to support the house community. The houses include shared kitchens and common areas, and staff live in as part of the house community; meals and study hours are integrated into daily life. Brentwood is a large co-ed boarding community with about 550 students, over 80% boarding full-time, and a diverse international mix; Grade 12 Prefects mentor younger students and inter-house activities take place.

Uniform Requirement
Uniforms are worn for approximately 180 days per year and are a hallmark of Brentwood College School. Refunds and withdrawal policy

Parent Experience

History
Brentwood College School was founded in 1923 in Brentwood Bay, near Saanich, on Vancouver Island, from which its name derives. In 1947, the Brentwood Bay campus was destroyed by a fire. In September 1961, alumni re-established the School on the shores of Mill Bay, directly across the inlet from the original site. In 1972, Brentwood College School became the first all-boys boarding school in Canada to become co-educational, enrolling around twenty Grade 12 female students for the fall session. From its early days, the school has flourished through the development of Brentwood's Tripartite Program of academics, athletics, and arts, and a strong tradition of leadership and service.

Community
Boarding is the heart of Brentwood College School, with students from over 50 countries living on campus full-time. A calendar of events includes spirit weeks, athletic matches, arts performances, dinners, dances, and Interhouse Competition, organized by the Student Activities Committee (SAC) and staff.
