- Registration fees are generally non‑refundable. For international applicants the registration amount (example CAD 2,250) is non‑refundable except where a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) or Canadian study permit is refused; in that specific case a CAD 1,000 refund of the registration amount is published as payable on presentation of the official refusal letter.

- Installment plans are offered in the published payment calendars (equal monthly payments across the academic term). Specific payment mechanisms for tuition balances (bank transfer, online payment portal, post‑dated payments, cheque, etc.) are managed by the College's finance/registrariat office and are indicated on the billing/invoice sent to the family at acceptance; the published documents show the timing and number of installments.

Notes for parents (concise practical points)

- Fees are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are presented as annual totals with the components shown above for each sector and option.

Academics

Collège Bourget teaches Canadian Curriculum.

Curriculum

Collège Bourget follows the Quebec secondary curriculum for Secondary 1 through 3 (grades 9–11), with two streams: SN (Science) and CST (Cultural, Social and Technical). The program includes English Language Arts; French – Enriched or Regular; Mathematics SN or CST; Science and Technology; Environmental Science and Technology; History of Quebec and Canada; Culture and Citizenship in Québec; and Contemporary World. In Grade 12, Bourget College offers the Ontario Secondary School Diploma through Ontario Virtual School. The English program is offered for Grades 10–12 in the anglophone sector, launched in 2019, with pathways to academic excellence and opportunities to pursue sports, arts, and entrepreneurship integrated into the weekly timetable. Students can engage in Passion Pathways that are integrated into their schedules, including access to high-level sports programs. Ministry examinations are scheduled in late May to assess reading comprehension and written production.
Parent Experience

History

The Bourget College has a tradition that has continued for more than 170 years. On November 12, 1850, Monseigneur Ignace Bourget, bishop of Montreal, invited three Clercs de Saint-Viateur to establish the college in Rigaud. The campus sits on the hillside at the foot of Mont Rigaud. The school began with modest beginnings and grew into a home for students from Quebec, Ontario, other Canadian provinces, and many countries who live together in the on-site residence. It is now a UNESCO Associated School and a Brundtland Green School, continuing to offer education pathways that suit a wide variety of students.

Community

The school maintains a close-knit community with a diverse student body living together on campus in the school residence. Students come from Quebec, Ontario, other Canadian provinces, and many countries, creating daily cross-cultural interaction. It is a UNESCO Associated School and a Brundtland Green School, reflecting commitments to global awareness and sustainable practices. Passion Programs provide cultural experiences and sports opportunities, and field trips and class camps complement on-campus life.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parents Association (APCB) represents parents and works with college leadership to support the personal and academic development of students. Regular meetings of elected parents, school leaders, and teachers provide a forum to discuss issues affecting current and future student well-being. The APCB informs the college of parent concerns and shares their suggestions. Its objectives include promoting the APCB, supporting student success and quality of life, and managing the association's budgets and funding. Funding comes from annual parent dues and from a thrift shop, which also funds various teacher-recommended projects. Committees include the thrift shop committee, the communications committee, and the grants committee; any parent who pays the APCB dues may become a board member, and up to 12 parents sit on the board, elected at the annual general meeting in autumn.

Admissions

Admissions

Preschool/admission process (Préscolaire) is presented in four steps. 1) Complete the online admission form to be considered; the preschool dossier must include the online form, a daycare development report if available, a photo, and a non-refundable 50 $ fee paid by credit card. Because places are limited, early file creation is encouraged. The first 55 dossiers opened are invited to a January observation; dossiers opened after that are placed on a waiting list. 2) Your child participates in an observation session designed to help the school understand social and relational skills through age-appropriate activities. The observation determines whether the child's profile aligns with Bourget's environment. 3) Admission priorities are applied to balance community needs. Priority is given to children of staff, to children who have a parent working at the College, to fraternal siblings of current students, and to children of alumni. Priority does not guarantee admission. 4) You receive the admission status after the observation and assessment. If the child meets admission criteria, admission is offered within the 40 places available; when admissible candidates exceed places, the opening date of the dossier and the established priorities guide the final decision. Primary/Elementary admission (Préscolaire/Primaire) continues with a separate process: 1) Digitize required documents in PDF and complete the online application; 2) Submit the documents listed (including report cards for the last two years, current year's report, diagnostic report if applicable, a photo, and the 50 $ fee); 3) The school reviews the dossier and may request additional information or clarification; 4) You are informed of places available and admission decisions. The admissions period runs until December 15 for the current year, after which place availability is communicated. Secondary/admission to Bourget College (Secondaire) requires: 1) An evaluation of each admissible application to determine if the student meets admission conditions, including review of reports and the French video presentation; 2) If admissible applications exceed places, priorities are applied in the following order: children of employees, siblings, children of alumni, athletic recruitment, and interest in a Parcours passion; 3) A two-minute video in French is required for the admission dossier. 4) Documents required include the online application, the first communication of the school year, final report cards for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, the diagnostic report and intervention plan if applicable, a 50 $ fee, and the video upload. For 2026-2027, 1re secondaire admissions decisions begin in late October and the 2e–5e secondaire admissions operate on a tour-based schedule through January–June 2027; for 2027-2028, 2e–5e admissions begin January 12, 2027, with summer closures from July 7 to August 6, and decisions issued throughout spring 2027, with further rounds as dates specify. Admissions are guided by a holistic review of the dossier, including French-language ability, motivation, and interests. Video transmission and online forms are required as part of the process. Open House Day and guided tours are also available as part of the process. Transport, tuition, and financial aid information are available in other sections. .

Scholarships

Scholarships are offered by the Collège Bourget Foundation through the Bourse de l'Avenir. Two scholarships are awarded to current Bourget students, and scholarships of up to 2,000 per recipient are awarded to alumni pursuing post-secondary education. Eligibility requires completing secondary education at Bourget (at least 3 years), having completed at least one year of post-secondary study and being enrolled in a CEGEP or university in September, and demonstrating outstanding academic results plus personal involvement in school life. How to proceed: submit a package including your resume, at least two letters of recommendation, a 200–300 word letter describing financial need, motivation, and plans, copies of CEGEP/university transcripts (if applicable), and a photo. Send to the General Manager at Collège Bourget or via email by the specified deadline. The deadline for applications is October 15 at 3 pm. (English and French pages provide detailed steps and contact information; see The College Bourget Foundation pages for full guidance).

Waitlist

Waitlists are used when the number of admissible candidates exceeds places. In Preschool, the 55 earliest dossiers opened are invited to the observation, and dossiers opened after the first 55 are placed on a waitlist. Waitlists may also form during the Secondary admission process when demand exceeds available spaces, with admission decisions based on the established priorities and overall dossier assessment. .
