Introduction

Havergal College is an independent girls' day school in Toronto offering JK–Grade 12 on a 22‑acre campus with a tree‑lined ravine and green playing fields. Founded in 1894 and rooted in Anglican tradition, Havergal moved to Avenue Road in 1926 and now blends long‑standing heritage with a modern program. The curriculum follows the Canadian framework with timetabled Advanced Placement options in some Grade 12 subjects and a strong emphasis on wellbeing. French is part of the lower‑school program, and Grade 5 introduces Digital Wisdom, continuing through Grade 8. The campus merges heritage and contemporary spaces, including a double‑height Art Studio and the Learning Commons housing the Old Girls BioWall, plus HC‑X, Havergal's innovation hub for future‑ready learning. On‑campus facilities include three playing fields, six outdoor tennis courts, a 25‑metre pool, a climbing wall and a Fitness Centre, with off‑campus rowing and arena access. Distinctive offerings include the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Centre, Round Square, and the Global Learning & Leading Diploma, plus Global Exchange.

- Instalment options and dates: The school offers standard and monthly tuition payment plans. Tuition instalment dates for the 2026–27 year were updated for that intake; specific instalment schedules are published with the school's 2026–27 billing communications. Families who select an instalment plan will receive the invoiced instalment dates and amounts as part of the school's financial materials.
- Annual Fund request: Families are asked (where able) to contribute to the Annual Fund in the amount of CAD 2,500 per child; this is an annual philanthropic request rather than a compulsory tuition charge.

Boarding fees (details relevant to boarders)

- Boarding tuition (Grades 9–12) is shown as an annual boarding tuition of CAD 83,485. A separate published figure lists Canadian residence & tuition at CAD 87,485 (annual). Families should plan for residence-related charges to be reflected in boarding invoices.

Other costs and typical additional charges

- Registration and application-related: one-time registration fee CAD 9,500 (non-refundable) and the application fee noted above.
- Uniforms and official school clothing: Official uniform items are purchased through the school's Green & Gold Shop; families should budget for required uniform purchases and may also use the school's pre-loved uniform program to reduce cost. Uniform pricing is set through the Green & Gold shop.
- Program-specific or optional fees: Some programs and short courses carry separate program fees billed to the student account (examples include HC‑X micro‑credentials and specific global-experience program fees). For example, a listed HC‑X micro‑credential program shows a program fee (example program fee CAD 595 billed to the student account). Families should expect separate invoices for optional trips, external program costs, certain co-curricular activities, and special events.
- Philanthropic/voluntary items: Suggested Annual Fund contribution CAD 2,500 per child (annual ask, not an invoiced tuition charge).

Refund information (applicable items)

- Registration fee: explicitly described as a one-time non-refundable payment of CAD 9,500. The registration fee is retained as part of the confirmation process.
- Application fee: the published application fee amounts are stated above; the enrollment communications note deadlines and amounts. Any specific refund or withdrawal refund rules for tuition instalments or other charges are set out in the school's financial guide and the school's enrolment/fee terms. Instalment and refund rules are published with the school's billing materials and acceptance documentation.

Fee payment options & invoicing

- Billing platform and invoicing: Accounts and billing are managed through the school's parent/account portal; invoices and instalment schedules are issued to families as part of the registration and enrolment documentation. Instalment amounts, due dates and the available payment methods are shown on the school invoice and in the school's financial materials.

Scholarships & financial support that affect fees

- Entrance scholarships and bursaries: Needs-based bursaries and merit-based entrance scholarships are awarded annually; the school publishes a number of named entrance scholarships for Grade 7 and Grade 9 entry including entrance awards with year-one values that reduce billed tuition and registration obligations (examples: HC Community Builder Scholarship, Havergal Difference Maker, Legacy Boarding Scholarship — each described with a year-one value structure that includes a tuition reduction component plus the registration fee and a modest allowance for uniform purchases). Financial support is also available through needs-based bursaries assessed via Apple Financial Services.
