Application fees
- Not applicable. The Academy is not accepting applications and is not charging application fees for the 2026/27 academic year or for 2025/26 under an active schedule. Outstanding matters related to prior applications, deposits, or prepayments are being handled through bankruptcy procedures.

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)
- No active tuition schedule is being published or charged for the 2026/27 academic year, and there is no active fee schedule for 2025/26 following the Academy's closure. Therefore there are no current per-term or per-year tuition figures for any year group to report.

Academics

Robert Land Academy teaches Canadian Curriculum for students aged 10 to 18.

Curriculum

The curriculum is highly structured with little or no course selection until the senior years. Senior courses are chosen based on their suitability for university and college admission, and senior choices are determined by the university or college programme the student has identified. The curriculum and course outlines are developed in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum, with emphasis on developing basic reading and writing skills; all courses offered for credits are at Academic or Open level. The academic year is divided into two semesters; final assessments and provincial report cards mark each semester. Each intermediate and senior credit requires a minimum of 110 scheduled hours of instruction, with five instructional periods per day (90 minutes each). In Grades 11 and 12, University Preparation, University/College Preparation, College Preparation, and Open courses are offered, and the Academy ensures every course required for university admissions is available; the Academy provides guidance to plan post-secondary destinations.

Higher Education Progression

All Senior Division students meet with the Academic Officer to determine post-secondary objectives; the Academy provides access to university and college calendars for institutions in Canada, the United States and abroad, and graduates are encouraged to pursue post-secondary education, with guidance to realize their ambitions. In Grades 11 and 12, University Preparation, University/College Preparation, and College Preparation courses prepare post-secondary destinations.
Extra-Curricular Activities

Academic & Intellectual

The school offers an Ontario Ministry of Education-based curriculum with courses developed to meet Ontario standards. Courses are credit-based toward the Ontario diploma, with 30 credits required for graduation. Courses are coded by subject area and grade level, e.g., ENG2D means English, Grade 10, Academic, and the first character indicates the subject area. English is the language of instruction; if English is not a student's first language a translation dictionary is needed.

Social & Hobbies

Cadets spend most of their time with fellow cadets and staff in a family-like social environment. The Cadet Corps, formally the RCAC, is mandatory for all students aged 12 and up and conducts training in map and compass, GPS, orienteering, first aid, camping and survival, canoeing, abseiling, trekking, and mountain biking, as well as participating in ceremonial events and citizenship activities. The Cadet Corps also organizes social events and provides opportunities for social interaction and teamwork.

Community & Service

The Cadet Corps conducts ceremonial military events and citizenship activities as part of its social and service-oriented program, reinforcing community involvement and civic responsibility. Cadets participate in a structured community life within a small, family-like campus, with social interactions and teamwork encouraged across activities and events. The program emphasizes service and citizenship as part of daily life.

Leadership & Professional

The rank system allows boys to earn privileges commensurate with responsibilities in a structured, upwardly-mobile framework, and it is designed to teach leadership skills. Cadet lessons and RCAC training are overseen by Cadet Instructors who are members of the Canadian Armed Forces, providing leadership development and citizenship education. The program emphasizes self-discipline, accountability and self-determination as pathways to leadership.

Lifestyle & Wellbeing

The program includes a rigorous physical exercise component with running, marching, and extended hiking, plus monthly physical timed performance evaluations. The medical form indicates ongoing physical activity is a core part of the program, supporting students' physical fitness and well-being. The Academy supports varsity sports and includes sports equipment guidance for activities such as basketball.
