St. Michael's College School (SMCS) is Canada's only Catholic, Basilian, independent school for boys in Grades 7–12, preparing students for university studies in a values-driven, university-preparatory program. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school has a holistic network of professionals to support social-emotional learning. History

Community

St. Michael's College School hosts a range of community events for students, families, alumni and staff, including Advent in the Courtyard, the Annual Golf Tournament, the Big Blue Benefit & Lottery, Homecoming, and winter and spring Music Concerts. Sports Facilities

The Arena is a 45,000-square-foot, 1,000-seat facility built in 1956 and home to several school hockey teams, including the St. Michael's Majors. The Arena houses the Mporium (the school store), a snack bar, and a pro shop. The Eugene Melnyk Sports Field features a 400-meter rubberized track, a 1,000-seat stadium with artificial turf, a 30,000-square-foot winterized dome, a regulation-size football field, a side practice field, and stadium lighting, sound system, and an electronic scoreboard. The Gymnasium is a double gym located at the northeast end of the main building, with a 10,000-square-foot space, 500-seat capacity, and Paul Dignan Basketball Court. The Side Field is a grassy secondary field used for warm-ups and practice and includes a shot put and disc area.

The Design and Technology Lab is a two-room facility with a classroom and fabrication area, including traditional machinery and a digital fabrication room. It houses five 3D printers and two laser cutters, with a finishing room, updated safety features, and ventilation. The Media Arts Lab provides hands-on learning in photography, filmmaking, and graphic design, with more than two dozen Macs and a range of cameras and lighting equipment. Standard Classrooms are equipped with conferencing cameras, microphones, and large displays to support remote or hybrid learning.
