The uniform is the sports uniform for students from Playgroup through IV Medio. The sport uniform includes a red DS polo shirt, black tights or shorts, a gray fleece with a black stripe, a gray DS-logo hoodie, white or black socks, and black sneakers. In 2026 a new official DS uniform will be introduced as a transitional phase; from 2027 the new uniform becomes mandatory for all students. Students from Playgroup to 4th grade will continue with the sports uniform, while students from 5th grade to IV Medio will need both the formal and sport uniforms.
The school has a casino (cafeteria) providing lunch through a concessionaire. Lunch is served in two shifts: Shift 1 (1:05 PM–1:50 PM) for 1st–6th grade and Shift 2 (1:50 PM–2:35 PM) for 7th–IV Medio. Microwaves are available for students bringing lunch from home. The 2025 concession is Aquelarre Producciones; lunch can be paid in cash at the casino by 10:00 AM or by electronic transfer to Aquelarre Producciones y Eventos SPA, with details and contact at casino_ds@banquetesnavarrete.cl; include the student's name, class, and lunch days in the email.
The school is governed by the Corporación Colegio Alemán, a nine-member board that provides guidelines and oversees the institution's operation and resources to ensure the proper execution of the educational project. The board includes the President René Martínez Barros and the Director Camila Schmidt González.
Colégio Alemán de San Felipe is a German international school located on the slopes of Cerro El Peñón in the Panquehue commune, near the Valle de Aconcagua. The campus features 1,100 m² of specialist classrooms for English, German and mathematics, plus a library, computer room, science laboratory, music room, theatre, dining hall, and an indoor gym with two volleyball courts and a grass field with an athletics track. The school offers Early Childhood Education starting with Spielgruppe at age 3, with a person-centered pedagogy that partners with families to build habits, autonomy and social skills, and to introduce German as a second language from early on. From 1st to 6th grade, the national curriculum is implemented, with German taught for about six hours per week and English for about three hours per week, and four hours of Physical Education weekly, alongside sport academies and team activities. From 7th grade to the first year of secondary, students prepare to enter the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2nd year, making it a pioneer in the Valle. The school is private, German, and abroad recognized by Germany; it's a member of the Association of German Schools in Chile and emphasizes intercultural competence and German culture in a multicultural community.
