Located in the heart of the Valle de Aconcagua on the outskirts of San Felipe. The school's official founding occurred on June 16, 1986, with the signing of the nonprofit 'Corporación Colegio Alemán de San Felipe de Aconcagua.' It received ongoing support from the Colegio Alemán de Valparaíso, its Corporation, and its academic leadership. The corporate structure includes managing partners Carmen Castillo Taucher, María Rubina Rodríguez, and René Martínez Barros, who established an educational option of excellence for the Aconcagua Valley. In 1988, parents could join as Active Members with the right to participate on the Board and engage directly in their children's education.
CGPyA, the Centro General de Padres y Apoderados, is the body that collaborates with the Colegio Alemán de San Felipe to support the school's educational, formation, and social mission. It aims to develop and support initiatives for the integral education of students and to serve as a reliable link between the school, the corporation, and the parents, promoting cohesion and solidarity while supporting the school's educational work. Colégio Alemán de San Felipe is a German international school located on the slopes of Cerro El Peñón in the Panquehue commune, near the Valle de Aconcagua. The campus features 1,100 m² of specialist classrooms for English, German and mathematics, plus a library, computer room, science laboratory, music room, theatre, dining hall, and an indoor gym with two volleyball courts and a grass field with an athletics track. The school offers Early Childhood Education starting with Spielgruppe at age 3, with a person-centered pedagogy that partners with families to build habits, autonomy and social skills, and to introduce German as a second language from early on. From 1st to 6th grade, the national curriculum is implemented, with German taught for about six hours per week and English for about three hours per week, and four hours of Physical Education weekly, alongside sport academies and team activities. From 7th grade to the first year of secondary, students prepare to enter the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2nd year, making it a pioneer in the Valle. The school is private, German, and abroad recognized by Germany; it's a member of the Association of German Schools in Chile and emphasizes intercultural competence and German culture in a multicultural community.
