More than thirty after-school workshops and activities are offered from Grade 1 through Grade 12 as part of Craighouse's Educational Project, enriching learning beyond the classroom. Activities run Monday through Thursday after school hours, with the annual list published in March and sign-ups in the last week of March. The programs begin in the first week of April and run through the end of November, and most activities carry a monthly fee while some require an annual fee for materials or uniforms.
Arts and Crafts, Cooking, and Storytelling are highlighted in the After School Club, fostering creativity and self-expression. The program includes Manga Drawing, School Band, Guitar, and Piano, plus STEAM activities and a Musical Theatre Project that involve students across different year groups. Additional offerings include Reciclarte, Bricks 4 Kidz, 3D Modelling, LEGO robotics, and other visual arts workshops, with performances and exhibitions linked to school events.
Debate in Spanish promotes critical argumentation, constructive dialogue, and analytical understanding of current events and school-related topics, with opportunities to research, build arguments, and present ideas. History Bites is a hands-on culinary workshop that explores history through food, teaching cultural and historical context. These activities are offered to students across middle and senior years.
After School Club features a wide range of activities after school, including arts, crafts, performing arts, coding, and sports. Sports-focused offerings include Mountain Bike, Football, Taekwondo, School Band, LEGO FLL Robotics, Stop Motion, and other creative classes. The After School Club for younger children (Little Darlings to Prekinder and Kinder) runs from 12:35 to 14:50, providing a safe and stimulating environment.
Debate in Spanish develops leadership in presenting ideas, researching topics, and engaging in constructive dialogue. The Musical Theatre Project emphasizes collaboration, responsibility, and leadership in leading roles and ensemble work. LEGO FLL Robotics builds teamwork, project planning, and problem-solving through robotics projects.
Physical education and sports are a fundamental aspect of Craighouse's pupils' development. The school's sports offerings include programs such as the Rojo Racing Team, the first school-based mountain biking team in Chile. Craighouse also runs Craighouse School Holiday Fun Camp, offering sports and outdoor activities in December.
Craighouse School is a private bilingual IB World School in Chile offering the IB continuum from Pre-Kinder to Year 12. The Primary Years Programme runs PreK to Year 4 with English immersion, supported by two teachers in the early years and specialist teachers for Spanish, Music, Religious Education and Sport. In Year 1, a tutor supports core subjects while specialists cover other areas. The Middle Section prepares students for the Senior years, and the Senior Section combines the IB Programme with the Chilean national curriculum. Little Darlings Playgroup provides bilingual education for the youngest learners. The school sits on a 24-hectare campus with more than 29,000 square metres of built space, including extensive Primary, Middle and Senior facilities, a large Inquiry Centre, theatre, recording studio, multiple music and Visual Arts studios, and four Technology spaces. The two-level Sports Hall seats 1,000, with multiple pitches and a dedicated mountain-bike circuit opened in 2021. Craighouse is a founding member of ABSCH and LAHC and a Round Square School.
