Co-Curricular Workshops in Infant to Middle School (Playgroup through 6th grade) are spaces for exploration and discovery. Students experiment, create and collaborate; apply what they learn and strengthen the Dunalastair profile through play, practice and teamwork. Areas of Workshops include Sport, Music, Visual Arts, Robotics and Programming, Sustainability and Environment, Journalism, Theatre, and more. Senior Clubs in Middle and Senior School (7th grade to IV year) allow students to choose, propose and lead, with options in robotics, sciences, economics, debate, comics, sustainability, artistic and literary expression, among others; students can create new clubs through Centros de Alumnos.
Music, Visual Arts and Theatre are offered through Co-Curricular Workshops. Senior Clubs provide opportunities for artistic and literary expression, including creative writing and comics. The program fosters creativity through hands-on projects, performances and exhibitions.
Trilingualism is a pillar of Dunalastair, with fluency in English, mastery of the mother tongue, and immersion in digital language. International Experiences provide diverse opportunities to study abroad and engage with different cultures, including NASA Curiosity Expedition Space; MIT Introduction to Programming in Python; Mill Hill Organization in London; British English Olympics; Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge; Earlscliffe Sustainable Futures and Mini MBA; and Worcester College, University of Oxford.
Sports are a core area within Co-Curricular Workshops. Senior Clubs offer a wide range of interests, including robotics, sciences, economics, debate, comics, sustainability, artistic and literary expression, and sports. During breaks, students can use the space to go to the library, play games, or participate in a sport.
Senior Clubs in Middle and Senior School let students choose, propose and lead their learning; the Centers of Students enable creation of new clubs and leadership in activities. Clubs cover robotics, sciences, economics, debate, comics, sustainability, artistic and literary expression, and sports.
Dunalastair adheres to a holistic education approach that covers social, emotional, physical and cognitive development as a Cognita pillar. Safeguarding is a priority, with all teachers completing Cognita safeguarding training to ensure safe and meaningful experiences. Wellbeing is supported by dedicated Wellbeing Counselors who focus on student safety, mental health and personal growth.
Dunalastair Schools is a bilingual, co-educational group with three Santiago campuses—Las Condes, Chicureo and Peñalolén—catering to learners aged 2 to 18. The school offers a choice of IB Diploma, Cambridge A Levels, and a Bespoke Curriculum, underpinned by Reimagine Learning in three stages: D-Inquiry, D-Project and D-Thinking.
