In its early years, the classrooms blended games, songs, and laughter with education, uniting the best of two cultures. Over time, the Instituto Alemán became a symbol of tradition and a bastion of progress and modernity introduced by the settlers in southern Chile. Today it is one of the country's most prestigious schools, aligning the Chilean curriculum with the German government's guidelines for German schools abroad, supported by expert German teachers and funding from Germany.
