The school offers all levels of the International Baccalaureate (IB) across the Primary, Middle, and Diploma programmes, guiding students through each stage with an integrated, continuous study program. The school began accrediting the three IB programmes in 2009 and joined the International Baccalaureate Organization in April 2011. The IB framework, together with German language instruction, provides opportunities to study abroad and direct access to higher education.
Arts and music extracurriculars include a Guitar Workshop, a String Orchestra, a Singing Workshop, and a Parents and Alumni Choir. These activities take place on site and are available to students from around 2nd grade through IV Medio. External offerings include Chess, Tennis, Children's Yoga, and Taekwondo as part of the Extraprogrammatic program.
German is a central pillar of the school's identity, taught and experienced across the curriculum. Since 2016, the Primary level runs a bilingual classroom with more than 50% of lessons conducted in German where possible, reinforcing language, culture, and customs. The school operates an exchange program with Germany (Intercambio) and offers German-language pathways through the bilingual program (BILI); the school also participates in the IB, which supports international study and cross-cultural understanding.
The Extraprogrammatic program includes internal sports such as Athletics, Basketball, Football (mixed in the lower grades, with separate boys' and girls' teams in higher grades), Gymnastics, Swimming, and Volleyball. External workshops include Chess, Tennis, Children's Yoga, and Taekwondo. Enrollment allows up to three workshops per student, with the first internal workshop at no cost; external workshops cost 25,000 per month and may require a semester minimum. Transportation by bus is provided for extraprogrammatic activities between Baquedano and Pilauco.
Action Social DSO fosters community service and social responsibility, with campaigns and activities aimed at helping the community and developing empathetic, generous, and engaged individuals. A social-action project by grade level is a longstanding tradition, with activities such as campaigns for those in need and visits to elder care facilities, cancer patients, and food drives. Action Social emphasizes developing students' social conscience and commitment to others, aligning with the IB profile and the school's service ethos.
The school's Diploma Programme includes a CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) component, coordinated by a CAS Coordinator, to foster leadership, service, and international-mindedness. Vocational orientation begins in the second year of upper secondary, with a focused program to help students make informed vocational choices. A 2025 governance board (Directiva 2025) includes roles such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and committee leads for areas like Environment, Public Relations, Wellbeing, and Sports.
The sports program emphasizes developing healthy life habits and teamwork with a strong emphasis on fair play and mutual respect. Extracurricular activities promote physical fitness (athletics, swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, soccer, basketball) and mental well-being through organized activities and clubs. Transport is provided to support students' participation in activities, and the program supports balanced time use outside regular classes.
