The school teaches in English and Mandarin. Language Arts are bilingual, with the goal of fluent communication in English and Mandarin, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and technology and media. Mathematics and science are primary strands, with sub-strands such as number sense, algebra, geometry, measurement, and probability; and the curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and knowledge application. Strong foundations in cognitive development support these areas, including emphasis on critical thinking, science, and mathematics.
There is an emphasis on the arts, including both visual and performing arts. A full‑time visual arts specialist supports the art and music curriculum, and art and music are taught in English. Age‑appropriate experiences include drawing, painting, sculpture, mosaics, collage, as well as singing, dancing, drama, and use of musical instruments.
Classes are conducted in English and Mandarin with equal time devoted to each language. The program includes Global, Cultural & Social Studies, focusing on culture, geography, history, economics and decision‑making. The school's goal is to empower children to explore, experiment and express themselves in a nurturing environment, with social competence and appreciation of other cultures as important components.
The After School Activities (ASA) program runs from 3:35 to 4:25 pm, with term-by-term registration. Each activity is offered once per week for approximately ten weeks. ASA provides a wide range of classes, consistently including sports, dance, music, art, and academic and cultural immersion, offered through a balance of English and Chinese instruction.
The campus is located next to Si'de Park and features expansive natural outdoor space. Indoor facilities include two large gymnasium spaces, an art room, a music room and a library, with learning spaces designed to maximize natural light. A centralized air filtration system keeps indoor air quality at a high standard.
3e International School is a non-profit bilingual day school (Nursery through Elementary) founded in August 2005. The school operates a research-based dual-language immersion program that splits each day between English and Mandarin instruction and includes specialist classes (art, music, PE and French at Elementary). The elementary programme notes alignment with the Chinese National Curriculum, American Common Core standards, British language-art approaches and Singapore mathematics practices. The Lido campus houses Nursery–Kindergarten programmes; the school cites interactive scientific exhibits (from the Exploratorium) in its learning spaces and runs a term-by-term After-School Activities programme offering sports, music, arts, academic and cultural classes. 3e reports a student body of over 200 children from more than 20 countries.
