It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The school operates a closed campus. Students are not permitted to leave the campus during the day, except Seniors (Grade 12) who may leave for lunch with an off-campus pass.
The school has a uniform. Students wear khaki or black pants, with uniform pieces including short sleeve polo, long polo, Summer PE uniform (short sleeves and shorts), Autumn PE tracksuit (jacket and pants), and a hoodie; families purchase the pants and other uniform items according to the dress code.
The school offers a lunch plan for K–12 with a buffet-style meal featuring Asian, Western and vegetarian options. Lunch is prepared daily, served in the cafeteria under supervision, and students may also bring lunch from home.
The school is operated under an international license from AISB (Australian International School of Beijing). The school was acquired by the NIT Group in 2019 and, in April 2020, adopted the AISB-Hope International name under its international license.
AISB–Hope International opened in August 2012 and is located in the east Chaoyang District of Beijing; the school moved to its current location in 2019. The school uses a U.S.-based curriculum (modified Common Core) and is an AP (Advanced Placement) school and testing centre; most classes (except foreign language classes) are taught in English. The school runs an English Plus programme for English-language learners and publishes an annual tuition and fees schedule. Class sizes are described on the school site as typically ranging from 6–12 students; the secondary section lists facilities including two libraries, two science labs, a computer lab, music and art rooms, and outdoor sports areas. The website highlights the AP/college-prep pathway and the English Plus support as distinctive academic features.
