Admissions

Admissions

Grade 10 – Academic planning and AP course selection: An individualized college admissions plan and guidance is provided throughout Grades 10–12 to help students set realistic academic and college goals. The first round of guidance and integrated planning occurs August–October. In December AP courses are selected and January completes a career test. In March top IB students take TOEFL and in June TOEFL is taken by all IB students and top AP students; July–August TOEFL levels are consolidated and students participate in activities.

Grade 11 – TOEFL/SAT planning and summer programs: Grade 11 includes the first TOEFL exam for all students in September. September–October, students plan TOEFL, SAT and SAT II. December includes the second TOEFL exam for all students and the SAT exam for IB students. February–March, summer school applications are submitted for selected students.

Grade 12 – College applications and final enrollment: Aug–Sep, choose colleges for EA/ED. Sep–Dec, make interview appointments and collect materials including transcripts and letters of recommendation. October, EA/ED applications are submitted and SAT is taken.
