Deutsche Internationale Schule Changchun (DISC), founded in 1996, operates on a shared campus with Changchun American International School at 2899 Dong Nan Hu Lu. The school offers a structured curriculum following Thuringia and Bavaria standards for nursery up to grade five children. Instruction is in German, with secondary emphasis on English and Mandarin lessons. Notable facilities include an integrated library and the specialized DISC Culture Centre, which anchors music performances and cross-cultural events. A signature initiative is the full integration into the CAIS campus while retaining full pedagogical independence, allowing students a smooth transition into the International Baccalaureate program after grade four or five. Additionally, students participate in at least three weekly sports sessions, morning physical movement breaks, and a dedicated afternoon activities program including yoga.
