EtonHouse International School Suzhou opened in 2003 and in September 2008 relocated to a purpose-built campus in Suzhou Science and Technology Town. The campus occupies roughly 3 hectares with a built area of about 13,800 square metres. The school is part of the EtonHouse group, a Singapore-headquartered education organisation with multiple international campuses. In 2021 the campus introduced a separate Middleton international division to broaden its programme offerings.
The school community includes expatriate and local families and is active in school-wide and local community activities. Suzhou EtonHouse has participated in charity and community events such as the “Bright Firefly” charity walk, Halloween charity events and family fun runs, and the campus stages cultural and sports events that involve parents and staff. Campus facilities for sport, performance and the arts support those community events and family-focused activities.
The school's parent community is organised through a parents' association (often referred to as a PTA) that collaborates with school leadership to support events, fundraising and volunteering. Parents and the association have supported specific activities such as the Bright Firefly charity walk, Halloween charity events and family fun/run days, and they commonly help run school fairs and cultural celebrations. Across the EtonHouse network, parent groups also organise events like global picnics and parent engagement workshops; those practices are reflected in the Suzhou community's approach to parent involvement. The association typically coordinates volunteers for assemblies, sports days and classroom support and acts as a liaison for family communications and orientation for new families.
