NBHIS sits on a sizable campus that integrates IB learning with strong arts, science and sport facilities. The campus features an Art Museum, an International Art Education Museum, and a Science and Technology Museum, along with two gymnasia. A 25-meter heated swimming pool, an all-weather track, and a football oval support both competitive and recreational sport. An International Education Library is planned on campus (under construction), complementing three on-site libraries serving Kindergarten, Primary, and Middle/High School levels. On-site dining options include a Grade A catering center, Rainbow Bakery, and Rainbow Café, with outdoor spaces and gardens that support outdoor learning and recreation.
Two gymnasia form the core indoor sport spaces, complemented by a heated 25-meter swimming pool for training and events. The campus also features an all-weather track and a football oval for outdoor athletics. NBHIS students have access to courts, basketball and volleyball facilities, and outdoor spaces for various team sports and activities. NBHIS provides Kindergarten, Primary, and Middle/High School libraries with tiered offerings. The Kindergarten Library offers a dynamic reading space with dedicated activity zones; the Primary School Library supports research and learning beyond basic reading; and the Middle/High School Library serves IB DP and MYP students with access to over 5,000 physical books and subject study resources. Online resources include Reading A-Z for PYP and Literacy Planet for PYP, supporting information literacy and independent inquiry. The Arts Programme is a core feature, with NBHIS Art Programme spanning from Primary through Diploma and including painting, design, sculpture, ceramics, and cross-disciplinary projects; there is an annual Art Exhibition to showcase student work. The Music Programme offers pathways from Primary through Diploma, focusing on elements such as tempo, rhythm, notation, and music technology, with opportunities for composition and performance. Ningbo Huamao International School (NBHIS) is an IB World School offering Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The school was IB-accredited in 2012 and became NBHIS in 2015 after a new education license; it also hosts a North American Programme (NAP) for ages 15–18 and a Sino-Canadian Programme for pathways to Canadian universities. The campus is located on No. 2 Yinxian Avenue in Yinzhou District, Ningbo, and includes facilities such as an art gallery and a science museum. English is the medium of instruction; Mandarin/Chinese is taught as a subject. NBHIS is a Round Square member (since 2015) and emphasizes global citizenship through Round Square initiatives and diverse co-curricular activities.
