• IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) authorization (acquired April 2006): JCID is authorized to deliver the MYP curriculum for the relevant age range, which means it has met the IBO requirements for that programme.
• IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) authorization (acquired May 2015): JCID is authorized to deliver the IBDP for senior students, allowing it to award the IB Diploma to eligible graduates.
• Designated “Base School for International Promotion of Chinese” by the Chinese Language Council International (Hanban): a recognition that the school serves as a designated site for promoting Chinese language teaching internationally, reflecting a formal relationship with the national Chinese-language promotion body.
• Designated Base School of Teaching Chinese by the Shanghai Municipal Education Committee: a local-government designation indicating the school is a recognized site for Chinese-language teaching and related activities within Shanghai.
• Established under the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Education Committee: the school's operation is approved by the municipal education authority, which is the official local authorization to operate as a school in Shanghai.
No school-level awards for the past five years (January 1, 2021–January 1, 2026) are listed on the JCID website that are explicitly described as awards granted to the school itself. I checked the school's About/School Introduction, Academic Governance and policy pages, Teaching Faculty and School Environment pages, and the School News listing on the JCID site; the site explicitly names the IB authorizations and the Hanban/Shanghai designations but does not present a visible, static list of institutional awards for the 2021–2025 period.
Notes on scope and limitations: the School News section on the site appears to load content dynamically (pagination is present), and I was not able to locate any news entries or a separate “honors/awards” page on the JCID site that name awards given to the school in the past five years. If you'd like, I can (a) search the broader Shanghai Jincai High School site (the parent school) for institutional awards listed there, or (b) expand the search to external sources (news outlets, education directories). If you want only JCID-site information, the result above accurately reflects what is publicly posted on the JCID website as of my check.
Shanghai Jincai High School International Division (JCID) was established in 2000 and is located at No. 26 Eshan Road in Pudong, close to Century Park; the international division is part of the larger Jincai High School campus. JCID operates a Chinese section (using the national curriculum) and an English section (using original US materials) and is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization; it offers the IPC in primary grades, the MYP (authorized 2006) and the IBDP (authorized 2015). The international division is reported on the school site as having about 400 students; the wider Jincai High School enrolment is given as about 2,100 students. JCID's site notes a Co-Principals and co-teaching model and identifies the school as a Base School for international promotion of Chinese (Hanban). For transport, the school publishes a paid school-home bus service with several route/price bands.
