Sanya Haiya Foreign Language School (SLS) offers multi-path bilingual learning with internationally oriented subject knowledge and an international teaching team, linking Chinese and Western educational traditions. SLSK is the first IB PYP World School in Hainan Province and enrolls children aged 2-6. SLSK uses the IB PYP six transdisciplinary themes as the curriculum framework, with a course framework that includes small class teaching, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and a child-centered generative approach focused on conceptual understanding and real-life action. Parent Experience

History
Haiya Education, rooted in Hainan, has been deeply engaged in international education for 20 years. It currently has a total of four schools under its umbrella: Sanya Haiya Foreign Language School, Cambridge International High School, Hainan Sanya School for Children of Foreign Personnel, and Sanya Foreign Language School Affiliated Kindergarten. Golden Sun Bilingual Kindergarten was founded in Sanya in 2005, marking the start of Haiya's education initiative. In 2014, Sanya Quality Education was established, founding SLS, TIS, and SLSK, introducing Sanya's first international school for children of foreign nationals and the first international bilingual school. From 2018 through 2025, IB-PYP accreditation for SLSK and Cambridge International School authorization for TIS were achieved; SLSK2 was added in 2019 and SLSK IB-PYP certification followed in 2021; in 2023 SLS Primary earned IB-PYP and TIS gained Cambridge status, while SLSK2 became an IB candidate; in 2025 SLS was renamed Sanya Haiya Foreign Language School and SLSK earned IB certification.
