1) Cognia accreditation (granted November 2023) — Cognia is an international, non‑profit school accreditation organization; its certification indicates the school has met Cognia's standards for leadership, teaching and learning, and continuous improvement.
2) International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization for the PYP and MYP (authorized in 2020) — IB authorization means WIS has been evaluated and approved to deliver the IB Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme and must maintain IB standards for curriculum, assessment and teacher qualifications.
3) Approval by the Education Department of Zhejiang Province (school establishment/registration, July 2015) — this is the provincial government approval allowing the school to operate in Hangzhou and indicates compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Wahaha International School (WIS) opened in July 2015 and is an English‑language immersion day school for Grades 1–9.
