Accreditations and Awards

Recognition and credentials that demonstrate quality and excellence

Accreditations

I reviewed Yew Wah International Education School of Beijing's official website (About, Academics and News pages and the site footer). The school's website explicitly shows the following accreditation/authorisation-related items:

- Cambridge Assessment / Cambridge International (site shows the Cambridge International logo and the school's pages reference IGCSE and A‑Level programmes). One-line explanation: Cambridge Assessment International Education is the provider/awarding organisation for IGCSE and A‑Level programmes; a Cambridge logo and the school's references to IGCSE and A‑Level on the school site indicate the school offers Cambridge examination programmes.

- Child-Safe School designation (the site states “YWIES Beijing Yizhuang is a Child‑Safe School” and links to its child protection policies). One-line explanation: the school's Child Protection statement on the site signals that it has formal child protection policies and procedures posted for parents and the school community.

Notes and limits: I searched the school website's About, Academics and News pages and the site footer for formal accreditation statements. I did not find explicit, written accreditation statements on the school site for other commonly seen international accreditors (for example, Council of International Schools (CIS), International Baccalaureate (IB) or regional U.S./New England accreditations). If you want, I can contact the school for clarification or search external sources for additional accreditations (but that would go beyond only the school's website).

Awards and Recognition

I reviewed the school's News and About pages (and the site footer) for awards awarded to the school in the past five years (2021–2025) and did not find any entries on the school website that clearly list awards given to the school (as distinct from student awards or broader network news). The site footer does include an image labeled the-great-teacher-school (which appears to be a logo or badge), but the website does not provide contextual details, dates or a news item showing that this is a school award in the last five years. Therefore, based on the school's publicly available website content, there are no school-level awards in the past five years that I can list.

If you'd like, I can (a) search wider public sources (news, education directories, Cambridge/CIE announcements) for awards not shown on the school site, or (b) draft a short message you could send to the school asking them to confirm their current accreditations and any recent school-level awards. Which would you prefer?

Yew Wah International Education School of Beijing (YWIES Beijing Yizhuang) opened in 2016 and is located within the B&P International Education Park in Beijing Yizhuang, part of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. The school provides bilingual (Chinese–English) programmes from early childhood through secondary and runs internationally recognised secondary routes including IGCSE and A Level courses. The campus promotes a co-teaching bilingual model in early years and primary classes and highlights two requisite programmes for all students: violin and swimming. YWIES Beijing lists a wide co-curricular programme (over 60 activities) and describes collaborative, inquiry-based learning across subject areas. For admissions and detailed tuition/fee information parents are directed to the Admissions team on the school website.
