Uniform Requirement

The daily uniform must be worn with the shirt tucked into the pants or the skirt, and the full uniform must be worn for all community events. Hair must be neatly styled and no tattoos or artificial body alterations are allowed; all uniform garments must be clearly labeled with the student's name. In physical education, no accessories are allowed; parents must provide enough uniforms for the week, and any non-approved uniform pieces for the final grade must be approved by the school's board and rector.

Food Options

Breakfast is available to the whole school community and paid at the restaurant; lunch is served at midday with a monthly predefined menu; snacks are offered mid-morning per monthly menu and may be added as an optional monthly service. A School Store is open at breaks for buying food items; preschool snacks (onces) are available as an optional monthly service. A microbiology professional advises on food safety, including staff training in asepsis and handling, supplier visits, and monthly laboratory sampling.

Governance and Ownership

Aspaen Gimnasio IRAGUA is a non-profit entity that runs Aspaen's network of schools promoted by parents. The Governing Board (Consejo Directivo) includes the Rector as president, the administrative and financial director, one representative from Aspaen, the level directors, two parent representatives, two teacher representatives, three student representatives (the student ombudsperson and 11th- and 12th-grade representatives), an alumni representative, and a representative from the productive sector and community. The Rector has autonomy; the Governing Board, the Rector, and the Academic Council guide the institution, with additional collegial bodies such as the Comité Escolar de Convivencia, Consejo de Padres, Consejo Estudiantil, and the Course Committee participating in governance.

Aspaen Gimnasio Iragua is a not-for-profit community school in Bogotá offering Cambridge Secondary and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
