Learner variability and diversity are embraced through inclusion within the curriculum. All teachers differentiate to meet the needs of learners, and committees identify students who require language support through the Educational Support department. A Multi-Tier System of Support provides differentiated instruction, remedial literacy interventions, and other support services. Spanish as an Additional Language (SAL) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programmes support newcomers and language learners. Language provision across the IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) is structured to respond to learners' language needs with data-driven planning.
The main languages of instruction are English and Spanish, with provision for a third language in the MYP. The school actively promotes bilingualism and multilingualism to develop linguistic skills and global citizenship. Spanish as an Additional Language (SAL) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programmes support students who arrive with limited proficiency in the school languages. Colegio Anglo Colombiano is an IB World School in Colombia offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme for students aged 4 to 18.
