Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

The campus comprises multiple purpose-built facilities for learning, arts, and recreation. A Primary Building for grades 1–4 was renovated in June 2025 to offer modern spaces with good lighting and technology, and houses the Primary Director's office, the teachers' lounge, classrooms and laboratories. The Preschool Building, opened in 1996 and rebuilt in 2022, features a central plaza to promote community life, a ramp for physical development, spacious versatile classrooms, a sensory gym and a creativity workshop. The Gymnasium was renovated in 2021 and serves as the hub for sports while also being equipped with seating and sound for theatre-style performances. The campus also includes the Polideportivo with covered courts for basketball, volleyball and hockey, a regulation football field opened in 2013, the Jose Maria de la Torre Arts Center, the Luisa Pizano Library (about 1,500 square meters with around 25,000 titles), the Park of Wonder for preschoolers, and the Administration Building.

Sports Facilities

The football field is a regulation field measuring 100 m by 65 m with drainage, grass and irrigation, which began operating in May 2013. The Polideportivo includes covered multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball and hockey, with structural reinforcements completed in 2013 and a redesigned facade in 2014. The Gymnasium, renovated in 2021, is the hub for sports activities and is equipped with seating and sound to serve as a theatre for large events.

Academic Facilities

Academic facilities include a Primary Building that houses 1st–4th grade classrooms and the Primary Director's office, teachers' lounge, classrooms and laboratories. The Preschool Building (Preescolar) offers centrally-planned spaces, a central plaza, a ramp, versatile classrooms, a sensory gym and a creativity workshop. The Semestralizado Building spans three floors with chemistry, physics and biology laboratories and 15 classrooms, plus teachers' rooms and the director's office; an elevator is also available. The Centro de Artes José María de la Torre provides extensive arts and music spaces with studios, practice rooms and an auditorium. The Luisa Pizano Library covers about 1,500 square meters and houses roughly 25,000 titles. The Basic Building hosts science labs and classrooms for the Básica program and was remodeled in 2008 to incorporate modern technology.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The Caminata Program began in 1987 and provides hikes across Colombia and other Latin American countries for physical, social, cultural and emotional growth, with a focus on ecosystems, geography and local cultures and including outdoor cooking. Parque del Asombro, opened in 2008, is a preschool playground that offers sensorily rich spaces to foster autonomy, creativity, exploration and wonder. Arts and music spaces at the Centro de Artes José María de la Torre support extracurricular activities, including art and choir/orchestra practice in dedicated studios and an auditorium.

Colegio Los Nogales is a private, non‑profit, coeducational day school serving ages 4 to 18. The curriculum blends a rigorous college‑preparatory program with FINES, Comprehensive Values Education, which builds life skills and guides students' life plans within the school's mission. In high school, AP courses earn college credits and are taught in smaller classes of 15–18 students with 60‑minute periods and semiannual final exams. The school offers a bilingual Spanish–English program with a third language option (French or Portuguese). The campus houses purpose‑built facilities for learning and the arts, including the Centro de Artes José María de la Torre, the Luisa Pizano Library (about 1,500 m² and 25,000 titles), science labs, and renovated Preschool and Primary buildings, plus a gym, Polideportivo and football field.
