The school was founded in 1993, with administrative operations beginning on October 5 and the first school year starting in January 1994; it was initially housed in a La Cabrera home with 220 students before moving to a Calatrava campus. Between 1995 and 1998 it expanded to eighth grade, reached 450 students through ninth grade, and graduated its first class in 1998. In 2002 it joined the national ICFES 'Muy Superior' group, ranking 30th nationwide, a status that has persisted and aided scholarships and top-university admissions. From 2012 the school pursued internationalization by joining the Cambridge CIE network, and EFQM ratings progressed from three stars in 2014 to five stars in 2020; Bogotá officials recognized it as a top private school in 2018. Infrastructure expansions include the 2002 north Bogotá campus (756 students), the Arts Building and Coliseum in 2012, two new soccer fields in 2016, and a major new space inaugurated in 2022.
Convivencia campaigns, pedagogical outings, cultural days, sports tournaments, language days, anniversaries, days of fraternity, recognitions of excellence, educator days, pencil ceremonies, first communions, and daily school life are central to the school's culture and community.
